Katie is mad at her brother Jake because he won’t share his coloured pens with her. Dad is mad too, but at their neighbour, Mr Weedie because he won’t sign a consent form for their new car pad. It seems no-one is getting what they want.

Mum reads them the story of The Sun and the Wind. Katie tries the same approach with Jake but it backfires. It’s not until she sees Dad being nice to Mr Weedie who responds kindly, that Katie decides to be nicer to her brother, Jake.

This story is a great way for parents to discuss sibling rivalry. It shows children that being kind to one another and interested in them is the best way to have a happy relationship. It may even help you get what you want.
